The Herbert Bail Orchestra: The Future’s In The Past — Herbert Bail Orchestra took me by surprise the first time I gave them a listen; the slightly anachronistic, almost Wild West style of music they create is something I don’t get to hear especially often, and beyond how cool it is to hear those kinds of influences in a modern album, they’re also a lot of fun. The Future’s In The Past, the band’s first full-length album, is a journey set in the west, a campfire tale. Some bands are capable of evoking wonderfully specific imagery, and Herbert Bail Orchestra nails this; each track has its own setting and story.
